To cap off yet another rainy day (soooooo ready for some sunshine), we watched Chicken Run after dinner. I love the way the little guy laughs when something strikes him as funny, and I managed to catch it on video!
My second favorite part of this is the baby's reaction to her brother's laughter... or lack of reaction.

Smart Kid
Eric and the little dude were playing catch inside when the little dude was hit in the eye with a ball. Luckily it was a soft ball, but it still hurt. He disappeared for a few minutes, and came back ready to play catch again!
We both were crying we were laughing so hard. Hilarious!!!! I love this kid.

Is it hockey season?
While Emily was out of the country this week I tried my best to keep the kids alive, and succeeded. Phew! Saturday morning my boy wanted to watch baseball (I love it!) but it was too early so none of the games had started. So then he wanted to watch hockey, but that was over months ago. I checked our NHL channel on the Roku just in case there were still some highlights from the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Luckily there were so we watched game 6 where (spoiler alert..sorta) the Blackhawks beat the Bruins to win. Here are some shots of the game (it's relevant, I promise). Photos from sbnation.com

| Presentation of the Stanley Cup |
After we watched the highlights which included the above presentation the kiddo ran upstair to get his socks skates and hit his pucks around our downstairs. After a few "goals" his lifted his arms and cheered, "We won!"
Then he ran off and came back with a bath mat and put it down on his "ice". I managed to snap a picture.
"Hey bud, why did you get the bath mat?"
"I had to put a rug on the ice!"
"What?"
"I had to put the rug down on the ice because I won!"
"Huh?"
"I won so now I get the bottle from under the ice!"
"The bottle from under the ice? What are you talking ab.... Ahhhhhh."
Don't tell anyone from Canada my son called the Stanley Cup a bottle.
The sweet girl doesn't know anything about hockey yet, but she does love to stand. Here she is supposed to be going to sleep while mommy reads her brother a book.

Prayers
We say grace at dinnertime, and the little guy is now praying off the cuff. Eric and I are usually weeping with laughter by the time he's done. He prays like Brick from Anchorman.
Tonight he said "Dear God, Thank you for pepperoni and cheese and green peppers and cranberry juice and I had fun with my friends today at work. Amen." If you watch him, he bows his head and then opens one eye to look around the table for stuff to say. He also sneaks food when it's his turn, so he's talking with his mouth full. Luckily for us it's the thought that counts.

Tackle or Tickle?
If there was confusion between tackling and tickling on the field, football games might be even MORE entertaining!

Poop Is Funny
We have this free drawing app on the iPad that has "stamps" that you can use in your pictures. The little guy loves the dogs and smiley faces. A lot of Halloween stuff has been added recently-- like spiders, spiderwebs, skulls, and poop (for some reason). Here's what happened tonight:
Eric and I were in tears we were laughing so hard. We share such a sophisticated sense of humor.

Tato!!!
Meet Tato.
| Hi!!! |
Tato (possibly short for Potato?) is the newest member of our family. Well, at least I think he is, though I'm not really sure when he arrived. One morning this week he was just sitting on the kitchen table. That morning the silly goose came downstairs, hopped up on the bench, and screams, "TATO!!!!" like he'd been missing for years. Now every time he sees him it's like, "Hey Tato!" or "Look! It's Tato!" or "Come on, Tato!"
Tonight when he was heading up for bed he stopped and ran back into the kitchen.
"Let's go Goose. We've got to go to bed. It's getting late."
"I gotta get Tato to his home!"
(blank stare)
After much ado, we finally get Tato to his home and laying down (which, please note, is tough for Weeble People). Observe:
Yep, Tato now resides in the goldfish canister. I guess you could say... he's sleeping with the fishes.
Sorry. Couldn't help myself.

Reading is Amazing
One of the little booger's favorite books was a gift from my brother and sister-in-law. It's really cute and has a ton of words in it. One page always cracks me up, though, because it has a picture or Mr. Owl waiting for the rabbit children to come outside and play. I bet he is! Ha!
Hopefully the little guy will share my warped sense of humor.

Inside Joke?
We were reading Moo, Baa, La La La again tonight (surprise!) and the little booger thought it was hilarious to say "Baa" when I asked him what a cow says. He was in hysterics. Here's a bit of it:
He was really cheerful tonight-- which is good because he bit someone today at daycare. It was our first incident report. Apparently the other kid put his/her fingers in my son's mouth, but still! One of my coworkers said to be grateful he didn't ask for a side of fava beans and a nice chianti. *sigh* Happy Friday!

Just to see you smile...
...his dad'll do anything. Apparently, this includes playing a game with a cracker in his mouth! The little dude grabbed one cracker out of his dad's mouth and ate it, but his mouth was still full for this one:
We're going to miss that laugh when he grows up.
