Our Little Boogers

Sharing our lives: two kids, two full-time jobs, one old house, and plenty of love and laughter. And baseball.

Micro Machines!

I didn't take any pictures of the little stinker today, so here's one from last week. The little dude is in love with his dad's Micro Machines. He sits at the desk and plays with them. It's cute (and a total choking hazard).
Here's a bonus video to round out this pointless post. The little dude has always liked it when we push his nose and beep, but now he does it back. See?

Memorial Day

We took a quick trip to visit some friends this weekend. The little stinker had a blast! There were cats to chase and lots of people to play with (including one very cute little girl). This is what he did most of the way home:
We stopped on the way back at a Dairy Queen (our weakness) and the little booger enjoyed his very own soft-serve ice cream at a picnic table outside.

Safety First?

The little stinker loves to look out the window but he's too short and really heavy. I put a step stool in front of the window so he can look out (while being carefully supervised) without breaking my back. Here he is kneeling on that step stool and reaching for the outlet covers.
I used to think child-proofing was a thing that you did, but it seems to be a never-ending process.

Delicious!

Last weekend we bought some sausage at the farmer's market and we ate it tonight with pancakes... it was amazingly delicious and quite possibly the best sausage we've ever eaten. The little booger was pretty excited about it, too.
We know he loves something when he has to stop frantically signing for more in order to hold the food in his mouth.

Ham!

The little booger looooves Green Eggs & Ham (the book). We know he wants us to read it when he shouts "HAM!" and whacks us with the book.

Smoothies and Dead Plants

I made a smoothie on Saturday morning and shared it with the little booger. He really liked it (it was quite yummy).
He's also really starting to look like a little boy. Don't you think so?
Also, while I was out of town my Mother's Day marigold was not watered. It was so dead that it disintegrated when I tried watering it. So we're trying again.
Maybe we'll manage to keep this one alive...

Trains Go Woo-Woo!

We were goofing around tonight when we heard a train go by. It threw the little booger for a loop.
Whaaaa?
He recognizes train whistles now, though, so he eventually concluded that a train goes "Woo-Woo." After some prompting, I got him to do it for the camera.

He seemed quite concerned.
