Our Little Boogers

Sharing our lives: two kids, two full-time jobs, one old house, and plenty of love and laughter. And baseball.

Yuck!

We were told to switch the baby to floride toothpaste now that she can spit. We gave her the little guy's toothpaste and she hated it, so I bought a different flavor for her to try. She hates this one, too. She's willing to brush her teeth (and let us brush them), but she makes terrible faces the entire time.
It's sad and hilarious.

Popovers!

We've recovered from our week of pestilence, and the little guy and I made turkey and cheese popovers for dinner tonight. This is yet another recipe from his little Cook it in a Cup book. That thing is awesome!
Dinner is clearly a very serious undertaking.
Eric and the baby played while we were making dinner. Can you see her top tooth? It's finally broken through!
Whee!!

Tooth!

I finally got a picture of the baby's tooth. She's quite secretive about the whole thing, but it's really there-- see?
The little guy took this self-portrait today. He has some teeth, too!

Uniforms?

The little guy goes through about 157 outfit changes each day. Here are two of his catcher uniforms. First, he had knee pads and an imaginary mask and backwards hat.
Then he had the hat and mask, but no kneepads.
Halloween will be fun this year!

To continue our baseball theme, the baby was chewing on a bat while wearing a Louisville Slugger onesie. Yum!

Brushing Teeth

Am I the only person who used to sing the song about brushing your teeth every hour of the day?
When you wake up in the morning and it's quarter to one,
And you want to have a lot of fun
You brush your teeth! (Ch-ch-ch-ch, ch-ch-ch-chhh)
You brush your teeth! (Ch-ch-ch-ch, ch-ch-ch-chhh)
There's a verse for each hour...
Anyway, the little guy is doing a great job of brushing his teeth.
If only he were tall enough to see himself in the bathroom mirror!

It's been a hard day's night, I should be sleeping like a log!

The poor little guy woke up extra early this morning, so he was tired, hungry, and cutting a tooth at dinnertime. He cheered up once he got a little food in his belly.
He shoves a ton of food in his mouth when he eats, and he usually has a chunk of food hanging out of his mouth while he chews.  His dad and I were making fun of the way he eats, and I took this terrible picture of the three of us with bread hanging out of our mouths.
That's what a wild Friday night at our house looks like!

Four Teeth

We've had a nice stay-at-home Saturday. The little guy's dad is off playing golf, and my plans to go to a playground were shelved in favor of a 2.5 hour nap (!!!). Here he is, showing off his four teeth.
