FOUR!!

She's four!! Can you believe it? She had a great birthday. We took donuts to school this morning and had her favorite dinner, cake, and presents this evening.

How did time go by so quickly!??

Updates!

The little guy turned 7 last week-- we're still not sure how that happened.

And, we have sinks and toilets and some paint upstairs! We should have glass around our shower by the end of the week. It's all very exciting.

The one design thing that I really kind of insisted on (and I felt like a total diva) was having two pedestal sinks in the master bathroom. Isn't it amazing?? I'm in love.

37!!

Yesterday was Eric's birthday. After the little dude's baseball game, we had dinner at a restaurant of Eric's choosing.

Birthday Money

The little one ended up with $13 after her birthday, so we went to the store this afternoon to buy a puppy.

A pretend puppy, of course!

Three!

It's fairly official: we don't have any babies in our house. The highchair has been converted to a booster, we don't have bottles or sippy cups or diapers, and the baby turned 3!!

That's right, the little peanut below has turned into a three-year-old.

 After opening presents, she strong-armed her uncle into joining her at a tea party. He was thrilled.

(The poor guy probably thought he was done with that when I outgrew tea parties! Bless him.)

Happy 6th Birthday and Durham Bulls Part II

My little guy turned 6 today. The first thing he said this morning?

"I can't wait to be 7!"

What?!?  Don't wish it away too fast there little man. You'll be 36 before you know it.

Birthday Girl!

The baby turned two today!

Her Nana and Pops came in to town and brought her a shopping cart full of plastic food. She was thrilled!

The little guy already has a cash register with a scale and play money. The two of them played grocery store until half an hour past their bedtime.

The baby is not-quite-two, and since my parents have been in town we celebrated her birthday tonight! (We'll have another celebration this weekend with Eric's parents.) We got her a stuffed Daniel Tiger, and I have to say we hit it out of the park with this one.

And now my baby is moving to the two-year-old room at school!

Our computer came back (with all data intact) just in time to celebrate the little guy's fifth birthday! His big (only) present from us was a new bike. Look at how big he is!

The little guy picked out a tie for Eric's birthday (and then told him about it), and Eric finally got to open it today!

The little guy also built Eric a giant Lego creation.

Seriously, this little baby turned FOUR!!!

It's funny-- it feels like just yesterday we were brand new parents, but at the same time, it feels like he's been part of our family forever.

This one was taken by a professional.

Big Day!

We've been able to see one of the ferris wheels at the State Fair on our way to and from school for the past week and a half, and the little guy wanted to ride it as soon as we got to the fair. Eric took him… look how excited he was!

Look at how high up they got! The little white dot holding a baby is me with my heart in my throat. Nana and Pops were wildly amused at how freaked out I was.

I guess his last day being three was a good one!

Birthday Wishes

The little guy is turning four in a couple of weeks (what?!? I know!). He's old enough now to anticipate his birthday, and he's been asking about it for months. Now that it's finally almost here, he's asking for stuff: "Can you call Grandma and ask her to send me three fox masks for my birthday?" and "Can you ask Nana to bring me two hockey shirts for my birthday?" are two recent queries. If you ask why he needs multiples, there's always a long, convoluted reason. Of course there is.

Today is my birthday (yay!), and the little guy made me a card at school. He also gave me all the money out of his piggy bank-- five bucks and some change. (I won't keep it.) Here we are with both:

Today is Eric's birthday, and my last-minute-flying-by-the-seat-of-my-pants plans came together so well it seemed like I'd thought about it earlier!

In other news, we got the baby an activity center. I think she likes it.

Cake Pops!

I had a fit of craftiness and made jack-o-lantern cake pops for the little booger's birthday (with a lot of help from my very patient mother-in-law). Thankfully, they were delicious! After seeing us scarf them down for two days now, the little dude asked for a cake pop instead of a cupcake after dinner tonight.

Birthday hat!

All the October birthdays were celebrated today at daycare. The little dude got to have a cupcake for his afternoon snack, and he also came home with a birthday hat.

He'll be one on Wednesday!
