Our Little Boogers
Sharing our lives: two kids, two full-time jobs, one old house, and plenty of love and laughter. And baseball.

Softball!
Eric has softball three nights this week (for three different leagues!) so the kids and I are picnicking. Last night I packed food, but tonight we had McD's.

Painting
The kids painted tonight-- there is a LOT of artwork strewn around the living room to dry.
Also, the construction crew was back today! They put up a bunch of beams under the house. It's pretty exciting to have things starting up again.

Playground
While we're waiting for the concrete to cure, things are quiet around the house. We went to the park last night for a game of catch and some quality playground time.

Father's Day Weekend
We snuck off to the beach yesterday afternoon. It was lovely.
After church today, though, we did nothing. That was also lovely.
Happy Father's Day!

More Construction!
This time it's not at our house. The little guy and I dropped by Harrelson Hall on campus. It's being... renovated?

Yard of the Month
I don't think we will win Yard of the Month anytime soon, but a lot of dirt was pushed around today.

More Walks
It was another hot day, but it cooled off enough for us to enjoy a pre-bedtime walk.

Summer and Solutions
School is out and summer is in full swing (hooray!). The kids had swimming lessons this morning, we got a bird feed AND some herbs to grow in pots today, and then enjoyed a post-dinner walk.
In other good news, the whole addition thing is going to be fine. Engineers are amazing, and we'll be able to get everything to work without having to spend a ton of money to do it. Yay!

Graduation and Surprises
Nana and Pops came down to see the little dude officially graduate from kindergarten!
In other news, our excavation started and uncovered this underneath the dirt behind our house:
Huh. Everyone was pretty surprised (bad surprised). We have to get engineers involved and we may need to change the plans. Fingers crossed that it all works out!

Personal Space
The kids have no concept of personal space. While I ate breakfast this morning, the baby knelt on my chair and sang in my ear. Joy.
In other news, our gas meter was moved today and tomorrow we start the excavation!

Baseball
We were lucky enough to get some tickets for the NCSU baseball game today-- they played really well!
It was hot, but we enjoyed snow cones, lemonade, and an occasional breeze.

Outside Treat
The kids had ring pops after dinner tonight. Those are an outside treat for bath nights. They were so happy!
We took the ring pops on a walk, and the poor little dude tried sprinting into a sharp turn on a gravel road. Ouch!
In other news, the guys working on our house are amazing:
Our house is feeling pretty small now that we're down to about 1,000 square feet, but we're excited to see the area of our addition mapped out!
