I know we have two dogs, but Beau and the little booger have really bonded. The little guy adores Beau. He'll follow Beau around the house ("Bowie! Bowie! Goggy!") and Beau is invariably gentle and patient. Here's a picture of them playing this morning.
Beau is thinking, "Dang, I remember when that Little Booger was only about 20 inches long. NOW look at him! But the kid's still OK."
