How lovely are your branches

After we got the tree back and in place on Saturday night, I strung the lights and Emily and the kids decorated it before Grandma and Gramps left. I think they enjoyed watching the little ones get excited for Christmas. Here is the kindergartener in front of the fully lit tree this morning before school.

It's always nice to ready for Christmas.

O come, Thou Day-Spring, come and cheer
Our spirits by Thine advent here
Disperse the gloomy clouds of night
And death's dark shadow put to flight.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

  1. It was fun to go to the tree farm and watch the decorating. It remonded me of decorating the tree years ago with the little boogers' mom and uncle...Christmas is an amazing season. Love, Grandma

  2. And it cracked me up every time the little ones would start singing "Silver and gold decorations ... on every Christmas tree."

  3. P.S. One can't help but notice the wide-open windows, when the National Weather Service says it was 43 degrees this morning. The Florida contingent shivers at the mere thought.
