In other news, our excavation started and uncovered this underneath the dirt behind our house:
Huh. Everyone was pretty surprised (bad surprised). We have to get engineers involved and we may need to change the plans. Fingers crossed that it all works out!
The little booger looks great! How nice that Nana and Pops were able to come and cheer him on for his entire family! But goodness, what on earth did the builders excavate? good luck and our fingers are crossed too! love, Grandma
