It's all fun and games...
He's starting to play with his toys more... sort of. "Playing" consists of inspecting each toy carefully, hitting himself in the head with it and/or trying to fit the entire toy in his mouth, and then throwing the toy on the floor. Here he is at the inspection point of the process:

He's figured it out.
It's time to install the baby gates.
He's been crawling for a while, but he's just starting to realize that he can really go places.

He's all "Out of my way, people!"

Fat lip
The little dude got tired of being in the ball pit at daycare today, so he launched himself out of it and busted his upper lip and gums open. It was so bloody that I got a (very apologetic) call about it at work!
His smile is a little funky from the puffiness. He's still hurtling around like he's invincible, though, so he clearly didn't learn a thing.

What a mess!
When I got home from work today with the kid, I put him down on the floor and put the mail on the dining room table. When I turned back around, the dog dish was upside-down and the little booger was splashing around on the kitchen floor.
In case you can't read his outfit, it says "Here comes TROUBLE!"

Happy National Donut Day!
The little dude loves to climb up on the dog bed to touch and lick (gross) the dogs. Beau usually clears out, but Sadie doesn't seem to mind.
She likes to lick him back. I can't decide which is worse: that the kid licks the dogs or that the dogs lick the kid. They're both pretty gross, really.
The real issue here, though, is that his dismount could use a little work.

Slow down, you're moving too fast...
Tonight he pulled himself up in his crib. According to his dad, he did a chin-up to get up there like this.
I don't think I could do a chin-up, but I've never tried using both hands and my mouth.
He's clearly a genius.

Peaceful coexistence
Our beagle has been a little apprehensive about the little dude. I think they've come to terms with each other now.
