Father's Day Weekend

We snuck off to the beach yesterday afternoon. It was lovely.

 After church today, though, we did nothing. That was also lovely.

Helpful Helpers

It was rainy all day today, so we had an inside night. The kids helped me make chocolate chip cookies. By helped, I mean they stood between me and the mixer and argued about who got to do what.

We had a good time (and the cookies turned out well).

Cookies and Ice

We had a snow day today, but it was definitely more of an ice day. The baby and I made chocolate chip cookies (and even delivered some to a neighbor). She's become a really good helper and cookie-roller. You can't even tell the difference between ours once they're baked!

So far so good storm-wise. We still have heat and power. Yay! Fingers crossed for tonight...

Kitchen Help

I've been making chocolate chip cookies every week so we have something sweet for our lunches. It's not that much work, and the kids take turns helping me.

In the Kitchen

There's nothing better than making cookies on a cold, rainy day. All four of us helped out this afternoon.

The boys cracked eggs.

The girls dumped stuff into the mixer. (I don't know what the little guy is doing here.)

Everything was delicious!

Chocolate

I made some cupcakes and a small cake (from this amazing recipe) the other night. The baby decorated the cupcakes with stars.

The little guy not only decorated the cake-- he also licked the icing beater!
